When Cherry Specialised Transport was approached by Lincoln City Football Club to help find a practical solution to support the efficiency and safety of their behind-the-scenes operations, they turned to a trusted, long-standing partner Vapor Ricon.
The club needed a simple yet effective way for staff to load and unload heavy kit cartridges into the Transit Custom van. The cartridges are both wide and can be weighty, so the solution needed to be strong, stable and easy to handle, while fitting perfectly within the van’s load space.
The Challenge
The club’s backroom logistics team were facing manual-handling difficulties when transferring kit cartridges in and out of the van. Safety, ease of use, and compatibility with the Transit Custom were key requirements, as well as ensuring the ramp could withstand frequent use.
The Solution

The ramp was quick to install and is easy for staff to handle and store when not in use making it the ideal solution for both home and away match logistics.
The Result
The installation has significantly improved safety and efficiency for Lincoln City FC’s logistics team, reducing manual-handling risk and simplifying equipment loading.
