Faiveley Vapor Ricon renowned for its manufacturing of lifts, ramps and vehicle accessibility solutions for wheelchair users has achieved BS EN ISO 9001: 2015 which recognises and certifies all aspects of operating systems within the business.

“This is a great achievement and is testament to the current leadership and collaboration as a team, over the last six months we have worked hard to re-align our Quality Management System, making significant alterations in order to deliver this fantastic result,” said Terry Chevens, Business Manager Faiveley Vapor Ricon. “We are really proud to have regained the  previous standard whilst raising the bar to the 2015 addition, demonstrating our commitment to quality across all areas of the business from manufacturing, to customer service and finance.”

ISO 9001 is an internationaly recognised standard that can be applied to any business who wishes to ensure its quality procedures are exemplary. Certification is awarded when particular levels are reached through demonstrating commitment to quality operations, service and procedures enabling risk based thinking and continuous proventitive controls.

“Whilst we approached our assessment as a potential opportunity to make our business better, based upon the findings, it was extremely pleasing to actually achieve no majors, minors or observations for improvement in any area of the business; an amazing achievement,” said Terry. “The reinvigorated team shall look forward to maintaining and developing these standards over the next 12 months to ensure we retain certification and indeed continue to surpass the aspirations of our customers.”
